An Island Top Team Brown belt, Cory provides the instructional foundation for our club. Since October 2019 Cory has been traveling from Nanaimo to Port every week. Classes take a systematic approach to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu core concepts.

Derek

Derek is currently taking a break from the rural life to get reacquainted with traffic jams and pay parking. We expect him back any minute.

Ivan Olsen

Purple belt. Not here to make friends. We're not even sure he's human.

Gord

Gord trained BJJ from 2010 to 2014 when an injury forced him to step back. In 2019 he got back on the mats with Ivan and Derek.

Can’t find a sitter?

Neither can we. Most nights you will find a gaggle of the next generation of BJJ superstars hanging around the gym. While we don’t have a kids class just yet, it is on our mind for next year.
